Games

Games are an interesting area.  There are not a lot of people trying to cater to specific markets.  Sure there is the major game companies, and you will never knock them off.  What you want to do is create something unique.  Usually the uniqueness pays off well.  I love to cater to children in this
paticular catagory.  For one reason, kids are a renewable supply and parents are always buying for them.  If you can create some games for kids that actually educate them and provide some help to parents, you will have a big plus.  The one game that comes to mind is Richard Kyosaki’s (rich dad) game about finances.  It does an excellent job of teaching kids how to  manage money.  This is an excellent example.

Most people don’t think about developing this market.  Teaching kids can be very rewarding and profitable.  Any time you develop the game that does this you will surely be rewarded.  Another good concept is to develop the game that moves children outside.  In today’s world kids are glued to the video games.  Getting them outside and involved in a game is great for them.  Imagine making a treasure map for kids you could give them a generic map, some little signs, clue sheets, decorative items and include a treasure chest.  The parent would then fill in the map according to their yard or neighborhood.  This could easily be marketed on eBay for starters.  Getting known for these kinds of games might take a little while, but will pay off if you think long-term.
