in PayPal

Paypal is service that allows customers to pay for their goods that they purchased from you with their credit card or Paypal account.  It has grown to such popularity that people are signing up in record numbers.  Paypal is being accepted in other countries and even some airlines allow you to use Paypal to purchase tickets.  Its a terrific concept that is very well managed and most of all very secure.  If you have not signed up, you certainly need to.  Especially if your are going to do business with eBay, who now owns them.

How it works:

eBay

Basically, a person decides to buy your product or service auction.  If you check the Paypal box when you set up your auction, eBay will populate the payment option right into your auction.  When the auction is over, the customer can choose the payment button and check out all by themselves.
eBay makes it super easy.

Website

You can choose for Paypal to be your credit card processor.  You have to go to Paypal website and set this up.  They probably have the easiest set up available.  Most web editors and storefronts already are “Paypal ready” which means if you select that option it puts it on the website for you in payment choices.  This again makes it easy.  Customers can use their Paypal account or their regular credit card.  If they use their card, they really don’t know they are using a Paypal service since Paypal de identifies itself in the process.
